About
Meet Lynna
Lynna is an artist and writer who loves to teach and has been called a “Creativity Instigator” by many of her former students and colleagues.
Her career spans more than thirty years of art and theatre practice.
She works from her studio at Eastside Atelier in Vancouver and regularly invites enthusiastic beginners to reconnect with their creative courage.
A Creative Rebel
Lynna says, ” I am something of a creative rebel. I don’t believe that artists need to “build a brand.”
“I’m not Kellogg’s Cornflakes, I am more like a variety pack—and even I don’t always know what’s in some of the boxes.”
Her work has moved across painting, theatre, writing, and creative mentorship, always circling the same question: how creativity actually works.
Creativity as Practice
Lynna believes that art is not something you wait for inspiration to deliver. It is a practice.
Ideas emerge through the act of working.
When you show up with curiosity and attention, the work begins to shape you. It’s painting that makes you a painter.
